1970-D 1c Overdate?

Take a look at these images of two 1970-D cent especially in the region above the 70 in the date. The first image almost looks like there is a high 70 below the low 70. The second image looks like it may be the latter stage of the first. Note the positions of the mintmarks. The mintmark on the second image is lower than the one on the first. This is probably a hub error of some kind since the mintmark locations differ. Anyone want to venture a guess? (Incidentally, these pictures were taken with an Intel Microscope)

According to the John Wexler's book, "The Lincoln Cent Doubled Die," this is a doubled die of type 1970-D DDO-MH-2-0-VII
